Artist's Comments

Indeed this was made purely as a diploma work, schools art class. Kind of a matriculation examination for arts, which will be rated from 0 to 5 points.

The topic of my project was "Pictures in Architecture: artistic or visual harrasment". So with an assignment like this, I thought that the work had to somehow handle the relationship between historical culture and big-timemambo-jambo ads and commercials.
And here you have it, the possible city scenery, if sommercials and advertisers will continue to multiply like rabbits and take over the ordinary landskape.

The picture had been drawn traditionally and slowly, then scanned on the computer where I added, even more slowly, the raster layers. In the end I'm veery satisfied on how the rastered art fitted in with the whole picture.
But then again the whole diploma work would have needed even More Details and More Clever Commercials.

Considering the amount of time that was used on doing this thing, it maybe could hav looked even more professional and ad-ambitious. But what the heck, the job has been finally done, and Im overwhelmingly releaved.
And the points from 0 to 5? This is worthy for maybe a 3, But then the pathetic Portfolio and the whole wholeness drags it back to 2.

(3/5, which is damn fine!)
